Had this problem myself, and the good people on the Prodig forum were good enough to put me straight. I feel it is my duty to pass on the knowledge <BG>.
Go to APPLICATIONS on your hard drive and find a program called Image Capture - In the preferences select "when a camera is connected open <no application>"
