Thanks to all those who offered advice on and off list. I've
successfully managed the upgrade to OSX 10.2.8 without wrecking my
existing OS9 and have started playing with Photoshop CS, the aim of
the exercise.
But I do resent the time it's taken. OSX may have all sorts of
advantages, but I was perfectly happy with OS9, and would much rather
have assigned all that mental and emotional energy to the next photo
project. But this is progress! Two steps forward, one step back. Or
was it the other way around? Thanks again, nevertheless.
