Hi fellow Pixel Pushers

I hope it is not too OT, but I have been hi-end dig for 5+ years now, and
was wondering how many of us are still using assistants.

When I started in the biz a decent room set photog would have 2-3
assistants, popping flash packs, putting in blue gel, processing test shots,
etc. etc.

Now I have Dig Backs, computer controlled lighting system, automated actions
for various mundane fixes etc.

Is it just my particular workflow or is the assistant a dying breed?

How is this affecting the inflow of new talent if more of us are working
alone.

Would welcome any comment/Discussion on how other people are working in the
digital age.

Are you an outgoing snapper with a full entorage , or a lonesome digital
hermit persuing your black art?
