Hello list, Although I haven't followed the whole thread about mac v win and it might have been suggested already I hope I can help a bit by pointing out a transfer medium between different systems that is often overlooked which is the compact flash card in every camera. The cf card can not only store pictures taken with the camera but indeed any file put on it. And even if the person I want to give my files to has no card reader it's no problem as I usually have one with me in form of my camera :-). Just make sure that your cards are formated in the camera and it is almost certain it will be readable by any computer, be it windows, mac or unix/linux. I never had any problems with it, its reasonble fast (with firewire), safe and foolproof. An alternative way would be the apple ipod which works well with windows and mac too.
I hope my suggestion will be helpful. Brian My guess is you are not burning a volume. Anyway, the thread wasn't about "off the shelf." We were responding to a specific question about mounting a Mac volume on a PC without the need to install MacOpener or equivalent software. If the question had been about Networking, I would not have replied as I have very minimal experience of Networking. > I have learned an important lesson here - Shangara, if you say it's > so, than I won't quarrel with you. From now on, if anybody asks me, > you'll always be right. LOL - if only that were true...Although, I have had similar compliments from film directors whom I admired tremendously (Sir John Birkin, to name one). So, I will take it as a compliment. --/ Shangara Singh. :: Photoshop 7.0 Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) :: Photoshop 7.0 Essential Tips :: Photoshop Glossary of Terms, Phrases & Acronyms :: http://www.photoshopace.com :: Exam Aids for Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver :: http://www.examaids.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
