Well, I haven't found a software that equals ACDSee in terms of being 
able to show thumbnails and a preview in the same screen 
simultaneously. It's amazing how iView, Extensis Portfolio, Light box, 
iPhoto are not able to do this.

Good news is that there IS an ACDSee for Mac.
