Dear Simon, I use a d100 and very happy with it.
Pros and cons from where I stand. Pros S2 Larger file sizes probably equiv to a 9mp camera. 100 asa No need for a dx flash gun Firewire Good noise levels at high iso D100 Nikon capture good colour correction Vc grip available. Very easy to use Good battery life only one (can have two when got vc grip) Colours vey natural High iso noise very grain like Cons S2 (after playing with my m8s) No vc grip 3 batteries Raw software not as good from fuji as nikon D100 Need dx flash gun No pc socket Only usb 1 Only minimum of 200asa See dp review. I think they are very close. I think if using on location get a d100 but if mainly in studio get s2.
