[PRODIG] OT: UK Equipment Prices

Despite a new years resolution not to purchase any equipment this year 
the temptation got to me and I decided to look around for some new 
lighting and settled on the Bowens QuadX range as it's British and I've 
used their earlier Traveller packs and heads with no problems for 
years.
What came as a shock was the disparity between Calumet's price in the 
UK and the US. My order for 2 packs and 4 heads is �1200.00 cheaper in 
the US !
On my last trip in November I paid �3600.00 for a Canon 1DS because 
Calumet wanted to charge me �5050.00 + Vat for the same thing !

Rant over - and a elated happy new year to everyone on this wonderful 
group.
