there were some issues I heard about (try colorsync users archive for
more info) , I think the profiler application makers have probably got
them sorted now, myself I never saw them.

the Spyder is outdated now, some were good, some were not. I'm
presuming you have a good one, but you'd still see big improvements
with modern calibration kit.

seems Ok still tend to prefer Sony as long as you don't go for the
cheap range, however, Sony are expensive and now LaCie seem to have
their reliability/wearranty sorted maybe LaCie is a good choice. I
think I'd consider LaCie seriously. But it's be the 20 inch LCD for me.
