Hi Listees
I posed this question on the Photoshop list and got a resounding "Hush your
mouth, Sugar," answer. Maybe the erudite Pro-Dig members know the answer
(...and, Russell, a cure, please!!!). When I save slices using Save for Web,
I get a warning that my file names contain non-Latin characters. Not having
had a formal education, just what are non-Latin characters? I've tried
renaming the files but all to no avail.
The dialog appears EVERY time I save an image. Clicking the OK button to
dismiss the dialog becomes a chore when you've done it for the 50th time.
There is no way to turn the thing off (deja vu of the backward compatibility
non-dialog screen hounding you in Photoshop 7 each time you saved a PSD
file, which thankfully has been put to rest after some 18 months!).
Oddly enough, ImageReady gives you no less than three choices of how the
dialog should behave but there's not even one in Photoshop. ITMT (probably
means till Photoshop 9.0 comes out!), if I knew what a non-Latin character
was, maybe I can avoid the dialog. Definitely have not been using Punjabi
characters!... ;-))
