However you hit the nail on the head about build quality. Only one of my Contax lenses needed attention in 20 years and they held their value really well. In contrast I expect I will have to throw the Sigmas away in a few years. The Nikon 12-24 would have cost me nearly twice as much as the Sigma and I could not afford that together with the upgrade to the full PS Creative Suite that I also need.
