Having been off the forum a while I am now looking in again with interest
- problem is dealing with all the incoming mails on top of my Kodak stuff!

I have had my DCS ProSLRn a week now and it gets more impressive each day.
I know I am biased and that the 14n was the best etc.. but truly things
have moved on big time. This does not detract from the 14n's achievements
because as many people now know the 14n is awesome in the studio, at 80
-200 iso and in controlled lighting but it was not hitting the mark at
high isos. The ProSLRn does!

The Software is also improved with a new noise reduction prog.

Also, and this is good news for 14n owners, we can give your camera a new
lease of life with a chip upgrade at an attractive price - wait until
focus for the bottom line though. This will give all the imaging
advantages of the new camera but without the electronics, so all you will
miss out on is the new battery sleep mode and a quicker download time.
Your camera will then become a 14nx

The new chip, pixel shape and cover filter also means that lens
optimisation is no longer required. The 14n unfortunately did not suffer
less than perfect optics well, and this was largely overcome by the lens
optimisation feature.

Even more news, the very soon to be posted firmware 4.5.3 improves the 14n
even more by reducing noise at longer exposures around 1/30sec and at
around 200 iso also.

Finally, those registering at the download site can now get all the
"Looks" FOC ( That is BW, BW+25r, BW+8y, sepia, Hi col, low col, etc.
etc.)
