Hi Simon, Have you tried repair permissions and the maintenance 'scripts' etc in Panther, 8 times out of 10 this will solve all your problems. To save messing around in Terminal use the wonderful and free OnyX, see. <http://www.titanium.free.fr/> I tick everything in the Auto tab and go have a coffee.
