Nothing 'so-called' about it if you are using the Epson drivers. They are seen as RGB devices and that's the data they require. Are you using the Epson drivers, or a RIP of some sort? It can make quite a difference. I now use a RIP for my B/W and get very satisfactory results (IMHO) from coloured inks and greyscale files.
