Earlier today I wrote
As I needed to create a series of actions to enable me to open Kodak Raw DCR files, process those files and then save as Tiffs etc I switched off << Camera Raw >> and used the Kodak FFM plug-in as the means of opening my files.
My problem [ apart from being dumb ], is that I now need to use Camera Raw again but cannot find the means of re-enabling it.
The problem has now been solved by the great Rod Wynn-Powell - thank you kind sir.
It would appear that I had not myself switched off <<Camera Raw >> but by simply installing Kodak's own FFM plug-in which automatically assumed it was the default opener of DCR files, had by-disabled Camera Raw.
RWP's solution to this problem has been to switch off the Kodak FFM plug-in by highlighting the file name as if about to rename the file and inserting << Opt + L >> thus switching if off. Then restarting Photoshop and Camera Raw has resumed its role as default opener.
Thanks again to ProDig and RWP for making the sun shine [ metaphorically speaking ] again.
Cheers
