I am more than a little concerned here as Kodak and of course the other
manufacturers are very protective of their respective corporate images.
It may be even that the edgeprinting on films is copyright.
It contains info such as batch number, spooling machine, and in the KODAK
lettering a carefully placed dot informs of where the film was coated.

How would it be if a 2mp consumer camera image was put into say a 120
E100VS frame and someone qeried or assumed that was the quality of the
film?

I know it is done, but I do not think I am being pedantic by officially
urging caution here and I do not really feel that this forum should
condone the practice.
