Well according to the obits - HCB didn't do any printing of his own and he often took a couple of years to develop films! Mainly because he was unconcerned at the result because he knew he'd got the shot!

Returning to something said earlier in the day - many photographers have a printer they use (one example that comes to mind of a specialist printer is Robin Bell <http://www.robinbell.com/> who prints others' work).

Each to their own I suppose. But to me digital is about the capture, the manipulation and the print.

It is just there aren't enough hours in the day!!!!
