Title: Photoshop CS / EXIF Data
Hi

Can anyone help with the following Photoshop CS / Actions question ?

I have 400 images / files and I want to get rid of their 'EXIF' information - as I would prefer to keep that information to myself.

I want to create an 'Action' to enable me to deal with these files and have tried many ways to achieve this - but without success !

Various forum members have suggested the following:

The only way to remove the EXIF metadata is to select all, copy the
image data. Hit Command/Ctrl-N (this isn't recognised on my Mac but Command N is. This does the same thing I think) to create a new document (which will
default to the pixel dimensions of the clipboard memory contents) and
then hit Paste, and flatten the image. By copying the image data in
this way you can produce a new image without EXIF or other metadata .

The above works fine up to a point. However, when you create the new document its name is 'Untitled -1' and I need it to have the same name as the original file that I have just come from. Obviously, I realise that I can input this information manually, but bearing in mind those 400 files, I need an 'Action' to enable me to do this - as I'm sure you'll appreciate !!.

Is there any way that anybody knows of to automate this task ?

If you have any suggestions it would be good to hear back.

Many thanks
