Dear list, Slightly off topic but of concern to us who use computers a lot.
I have a bought a cheap power consumption meter from lidl of all places just to see how much electricity my computer is actually using. I can acturately put in the kw/h charge in and run the computer though it and pelipherals. I am having it on for an average of about 5 hours per day including sat and sun so about 35 hours a week. So for the last 10 weeks the cost has come to �0.93p, this is a lot less than I had imagined. I am also running a laptop and two scanners through it that scan stock whilst I am working as well. So there's a lot goint through it.
