Having just run some maintenance work on my Mac (deleting old log files,
updating permissions etc) I now have a very strange looking PS CS.

The normal small Helvetica-type font that is used in the browser, and also
for history, layer and other palettes has been replaced by what appears to
be Apple's system font. I also noticed that this had been substituted in
the start-up screen, where my name and product ID appear.

I've obviously deleted something that's caused this to happen, but I don't
know what! Whilst not a serious problem, it's starting to get to me.

Can anyone out there enlighten me as to what I've done and, more
importantly, how I can get the right font back! Have been through all the
prefs settings I can find, and they all look fine.

Search Apple's site for a document called "FontsonMacOSX.pdf". It lists the fonts necessary for the system and their location.
