Hi Everyone, After much pondering, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a shiney new Eos1-ds, for an assignment I have in November. But guess what - I can't get hold of one - I can't find a retailer that wants my �5k or so???
Each shop I've spoken to says they can't get hold of the 1-ds from Canon, so they're just waiting for the Mk II to be released in November. Speaking to Canon, they say there's plenty of availability and that the retailers must simply try harder!? But that doesn't help me, who needs the kit for early November, and who doesn't trust any release dates! Does anyone have any ideas? Or know of the whereabouts of a shy shiney 1-ds? But failing that, I'll have to rent (I hate false economies!), so could anyone suggest a decent rental place (south england)?
