Sounds interesting if slightly scary. I will try it as a last resort if I can't get the screws out. If I pop the monitor in the bath at the same time, will it clean up the dust spots on this scan? :-)

Yes, you will find that not only will it remove all the dust, specks on that scan, but all subsequent ones (caused by a dirty screen) On the other hand you might like to bear in mind that when we drum scan, every piece of film is mounted in a special fluid, This has the effect of removing or greatly reducing any wear and tear (well almost) and those horrible specks that you are having to deal with. Keep dunking <G>
