All of this talk about batteries for the S2 has prompted me to relay some
info.

I tried using rechargeable batteries but I found them to be too much trouble
(oh god, one more thing to remember) and too unreliable for me to fool with
so I just started buying AA alkalines in bulk at the Sam's Club (a big
warehouse chain store in the US... related to Wal-Mart) Not too expensive
and they always work. A couple of months ago, I noticed that Sam's was
selling AA lithium batteries at 20 dollars for 12 batteries. The label said
that they would last 5 times as long as alkalines in digital cameras. I
calculated that they cost about 4.5 times as much as the AA alkalines so I
decided to give them a try just to see. Well... I'm sold... I don't use
anything else now. The lithium 123 batteries always lasted for days and
days whereas I was changing AA alkalines a couple of times a day. Now, I
don't change AA lithiums any more often than I change 123's! I love it!
