Dear Tim and Ellie, I bought an Epson R200 for general use, the CD printing thing was a bonus I didn't think I'd need, but now use all the time.
I bought mine at short notice from Staples, cost about ninety quid. Could well be cheaper now. Uses 6 ink tanks, so not cheap to refuel, but it does last a while as long as you ignore the warnings of low ink - I printed four A4 contact sheets on it yesterday with the lights all warning of impending doom, telling me to get me credit card out.... I've only used the matt finish CD's and they are fine - touch dry when removed and colours all OK. If you get one, make sure you leave enough room behind it for the CD carrier to slide through - it loads on a holder from the front and slides through to project from the rear, only by a few cm, but it will throw up a 'fail' and it doesn't say anything in the documentation about it.
