Hello Becky,

Have you tried the grey balancer software? If you are in the UK, it is sold
with the printer, and is designed to help you neutralise your greyscales.
Having said that, whilst the magazine reviews of that software tended to
love it, the number of people I have spoken to who simply can not get it to
work to their taste is <quite a few>. And then there's one more problem
(that you may or may not be seeing) - the inks suffer from metamerism /
illuminant metamerism / colour inconstancy (choose your terminology of
choice) which in translation means "The prints may look neutral under one
light source, but might look pink or green under another".

One solution that we have for all the above is the ImagePrint RIP software
that changes the way the Epson original inks are used to dramatically
reduce, or even eliminate, this nasty change in colour in different lights.
Plus, although the profiles supplied with the system are only 'generic' they
seem to work very well indeed for many of our customers. It works with
colour too. This combination of Epson 2100 / 4000 / 7600 etc + ImagePrint +
Epson original inks is the only current combination we can recommend if you
want colour and monochrome output from one printer.

If you are in the UK or Western Europe, we can send out fully working demo
software, if you are in the US, try ColorByte Software.

I do hope this assists you,
