Err... 48x36 diagonal is 60mm which with a 35mm focal length lens gives
approx the same diagonal angle of view as about a 24/25mm lens on 35mm
format (36x24 diagonal is 43.2mm).

Mamiya's 26mm MAY appear some year soon -it's been over a year since they
announced it - perhaps they'll finally get around to it now the ZD is
coming. That'll give you about an 18mm equivalent.

Anyhow Schneider already make a 24 and 28mm which have image circles of 60mm
at f11. The 28mm in particular is reportedly very good being retro focus
(which partially negates my next comment:-)

I'd worry more about how these lenses will perform with 22MP chips and their
microlenses at the edges of the chip.

Hope that helps.

Yours aye,

Alan.
