I know what you mean! I used to use a load of Bowens Monolights with film, but now with digital a couple of Metz 60's is usually more than enough. Progress!
Wow, big guns! I make do with a couple of SB-28s... Haven't weighed either them or the Hensel 1000J monoblocs I use with film, but it's a weight reduction of several hundred percent. Was talking to a magazine AD last week who expressed qualified willingness to accept digital now, after some dodgy submissions in the early days - wants 40Mb (-ish) files, which I could provide now from the S2 but which the D2X should produce at higher quality. Roll on...
