I�m running an Epson 1290 on a G3 Mac with OS 10.2.8.
My problems began with the print centre failing to recognise the printer
after accidentally pulling out the USB connector (printer wasn't in use at
the time). I've gone through a number of steps starting with uninstalling
and reinstalling from the Epson CD supplied with the printer, then running
fixamac print centre repair which I found through the Prodig archive.
I have subsequently downloaded and installed OS10 driver from Epson website.

The print centre still shows no printer connected. When I try to add a
printer, all boxes are greyed out and there are no options available. I have
looked in Users>library>printers and there is no sign of the downloaded
Epson driver even though installation was successful.

I would appreciate any help as I am going around in circles.
