I've been trying to calibrate Adobe Camera Raw as per these instructions

but can't get the result I'm expecting. I wonder if the Macbeth Color
Checker I "acquired" a few years ago has faded, or if the colours might
have shifted over time. It's always been kept in its original package,
never in bright light. I'm embarrassed to report I just saw that it says
on the reverse, "March 1977 Edition". I haven't had it that long but I
believe it was new in the eighties...

As to the above calibration instructions, it's suggested that after
getting the white/black points and contrast sorted you adjust the
saturation so the green values match the reference. At this point I have
an almost monochrome image.
