Nothing wrong with Lyson ink... But why pay the premium for an Epson 2100
printer which uses the Ultrachrome inkset (some say better longevity than
Lyson Fotonic) just to use it with Lyson Inks.

Better to buy the Epson 1290s (dye based printer) which is GBP 200 less than
the 2100 and use that with Lyson Fotonics.

This is an interesting point...

There is no information on how the Lyson PhotoChrome inkset compares to the
Epson Ultrachrome inkset.

Sure, savings due to the CIS could be substantial, but I have not found
anyone who is using the Lyson PhotoChrome inkset as opposed to the Epson
Ultrachrome.
