>Hi List > <snip> >Also can anyone recommend a good 'bible' for a digital novice. I try >to keep up with this forum but will be starting more or less from >scratch and would like to read an up to date book to avoid basic >questions. I think I know exactly the book. I would not like anyone to think I'm blowing my own trumpet, however when I was approached by Ilex to contribute to a book on <Getting Colour Right> I saw it as an opportunity to put on paper many of the points I've made in seminars and many of the basic rules about image editing in photoshop. I eneded up working on pretty much the whole thing bar a couple of seaside postcard workthroughs which were added later. <Getting Colour Right> is a small book, but, nonetheless contains some useful information on the basics. And some stuff that makes even seasoned campaigners say <oh dear, I've been doing that wrong for years>. It's only 15.96 have a look at: http://www.colourmanagement.net/books.html Bruce Fraser's Real World series is fantastic, the bible on Photoshop, but hardly bedtime reading. I have it on the shelf as a reference book. Martin Evening's <Photoshop for photographer's> is, likewise, a very good read.
