Maybe I've got too much time on my hands but I've noticed they have = Mamiya ZD and ZD Back pricing on the Calumet Netherlands website....at = euros 9995 and 7995.
Well spotted, Richard, and thanks. Perhaps one should use the mobile number cleverly provided by Matt Littler, to ask the UK Mamiya sales boss why Calumet can quote a price in NL, but Mamiya can't in UK...
I did receive an emailed reply from Johnsons Photopia:
<<As you can probably guess <http://www.mamiya.co.uk>www.mamiya.co.uk has not been updated for some time. This is a long story but needless to say we are very conscious of it and in the background we are building a totally new site. We would be pleased if you would take a look, please understand that it is under construction and some areas are yet to be Finalised. <http://www.development54.com/mamiya>www.development54.com/mamiya
We also have just launched <http://www.mamiyazd.co.uk>www.mamiyazd.co.uk which will be populated with information regarding the new ZD once more information is available. At this time the camera is due to launch in March 05 but we have no firm pricing as yet from Mamiya Japan.>>
The ZD back Dutch price quoted equates to 5500 UKP, so if accurate represents a highly competitive alternative to the 1Ds2 for those requiring file size/quality as opposed to fast capture rates.
Seems to be all the info we have so far...
Regards, Tony H
