Have a look at the stainless steel wheels on the feed out bar. It could well
be that some black ink has contaminated them.

Subject: [PRODIG] Epson 1290 ink marks

Am using an Epson 1290 with Lyson Fotonic inks in CIS bottles.

I am getting terrible "off picture" marks from the black ink. These
marks appear about 2cms away from the edge of the picture in the white
border and run parallel to the picture edge. The marks are like tiny
little quotation marks so it would appear that with each pass the
nozzle is giving a tiny squirt at the end of each line.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what did they do to the
machine? If you are able to help in addition to posting a reply on list
could you please copy me off-list as I only get the digest and as its
0400 I am desperate to get a solution to my problem.

Many thanks

Mike Sheil

PS It's the shortest day so the light can only get better after today!
