hello,
I am very new to using plone and when I am trying to add my product I
have the following questions.
firstly the problem is that I need to very quickly get over this
problem and since I am new I am really confused.
but I feel that the inconsistent performance is mostly not because of
plone but my own errors.
firstly, is there a hard and fast rule of any kind which defines what
should a plone product have in its folder?
that is to say, is there a well defined folder structure that one has
to follow for registering a plone product?
second, I will be particularly working on the I18n and I10n aspect of
the concerned product so when I follow the docs on the plone web site
I figure out that I must have an extention folder for the product
which needs to be translated.
can some one please explain in details how I can do this in my plone
setup which I did with the unified installer?
obviously, Plone is installed in /opt/Plone and the zeocluster does
have all the directories as expected and my plone works fine.
I only need to get a basic understanding of how I can add a product
and how the process of generating po files out of pot work (or is it
the other way round)?
again, my installed version is through the plone unified installer
which installs in /opt/plone.
I am really very new so an example such as myproduct/extention will be prefered.
right now when I try to follow the tutorial, I don't get the product I
want to register in my drop down list.
firstly I need to know if I can change ownership of my
plone/zeocluster/products directory to my own user?
doing so harms the plone setup and it stops working, what am I doing wrong?
secondly, I tried to copy the myproduct folder to the products
directory of the zeocluster, but that does not show up in the drop
down list.
please help me with some basic example,
I am really confused.
regards,
Krishnakant.
