The only different between importing the extension profile and using quickinstaller is that quickinstaller does not state snapshotting so it can figure out what changes are made.
See my reply to my original posting. I was just confusing to see thatPB was directly available after creating the Plone site although the quickinstaller showed PB under uninstalled products. The reason for this is clear now but it conflicted with the standard procedure to install all
products first using the quickinstaller. Andreas
