as some of you already know, I'm working on a product to extend Plone
news items in order to support some NITF fields; the extender is here:

I have 2 questions now:
1. I need this new fields to be searchable, so I added a value of 1 to
that attribute in my schema; do I have to explicitly add an index type
to it also? I was checking archetypes fields reference and it's not
clear for me
2. I need to use those fields to make searches using Smart Folders; is
this information still valid for Plone 2.5?
