Hey, think about this: Gates' affinity to Basic most likely motivated the "VB is good, FoxPro doesn't exist" attitude in MS. Maybe, perhaps, hopefully ... It was he who kept VFP locked in the attic all along - and those other guys just went along with it to please him. I admire Gates for what he's doing with his money, but not for VFP. I hope he goes off to Africa et al and does a world of good for a lot of people - and leaves MS mgmt to more level-headed people - who in turn will let VFP out onto the playground. They'll want to make money to impress Bill, and there's money in VFP. Don't forget it's a whole big world, and many people in many countries can't afford MS's Big $ Solution, but they can afford VFP. No small point, but it was lost on Big Bill.
