...but a full weekend of soccer nonetheless. My younger son's travel
club hosted their annual tournament this weekend. I know the referee
assignor for the tournament, so I offered to help out and do some
games. Well, he more than took me up on the offer: I had 3 games
yesterday, and 3 today, and he also gave my son 2 games yesterday and
2 today. This is in addition to playing in 3 games with his team! Oh,
and did I mention that the temperatures were hovering in the mid-90s
(35C) both days?
I must have drunk about 3 gallons of water each day, and used a tube
and a half of sunscreen, but after a couple of nice cold ones, I'm
feeling great! I love hot weather, and I love soccer! And I
especially love being able to run again, after two knee surgeries
last year!
