Right now he is in the middle of dumping 10,000 gallons of water on the hole we're digging for our foundation. We had to over-excavate to remove many tons of rock then will have to pack the soil back so the footings will be firm. We have some huge footings on this house... I hope that 16 years, 10 of which we were remodeling and 5 of which we've been living in will be sufficient practice for making decisions about new home construction.
