My knowledge of football is pretty limited, but as an outsider it seems obvious that unless you change the rules so that there is nothing to gain from diving, prople will always dive. While the players have something to gain from throwing themselves on the floor in their dramatic and battetic ways, it will continue.

And these were the same commentators complaining a week earlier that the referees are handling out yellow cards like confetti.
