If it were only that easy. I'm split right up the middle between
Democrat and Republican principles, at least in theory. Don't forget I'm
self-employed, which by the classic definition would make me a
Republican. I believe in the essential usefulness of capitalism with
democratic oversight, i.e. the middle of the road, but the chaos of our
present state isn't due to a collision of principles, it's due to the
infiltration and dominance of a few special interests. Nowhere to be
found in the top of either party is reinforcement of the government
of/by/for the people concept so eloquently expressed by Lincoln at
Gettysburg. Through long term conditioning/programming we've lost sight
of the fact that our government belong to us and is not our ruler but
our servant.

Proof? Where is the movement to make it so you don't need 30 million to
even think about running for office? It doesn't exist. That means only
people backed by Big Money can participate. Is that America, or is that
a land dominated?

No. There was a duping that happened, and the sheer force of people of
goodwill is now called upon and obligated to make amends.

So long as the majority of people are getting their information from
less than 5 channels, there is a force at work that transcends the
issues that really matter. In Clinton's last days, this nation's
attention was diverted to endless coverage of a scandal that had no
historical importance whatsoever, other than to destroy his presidency.
Who has the real power?
