Its a typical DOUBLE ENTRY accounting system which is a lot different then quickbooks. If you know double entry accounting, you won't have any problem. If you don't, let me know and I'll help you out.
Now as to tapping into it, I have no experience on that, although if it offers an export function you could export the info and then do what you need to in fox.
