Once again, I think the "abbreviated" term "Global Warming" is the missed crux of the argument. The real issue is "Man-made Global Warming". That issue is definitely not agreed upon by all scientists. As others have already pointed out, the history of Earth's climate shows a lot of global climate change. And if the dating is correct, it was before man was around. And don't forget the recent studies that showed the average global temperatures of other planets in our solar system were increasing at about the same as ours. And don't forget one of the largest contributors to global climate are large brush/forest fires. It just so happens most of those are accidental and occur all over the world, including extremely remote areas, not man-caused. Now, the folks that want to get paid to do studies surely want us to continue to use the term "Global Warming" or "Climate Change". They want that to continue because it's pretty easy to show those things are happening (albeit they're often being a bit to amoral in regards to fudging data to prove a point - aka the old Hockey Stick thing, etc). But Man-made Global Warming is quite hard to prove. Those that think just looking at general trends since man "came on the scene" (or since the industrial revolution for example) are simply not looking at all the facts - as in all of world history. It's too bad people make a living off this kind of "research". They are becoming a lot like politicians - do anything, say anything, to keep getting paid.
