I think you're going to spend a significant amount of time applying
updates to *any* Windows workstation or server you purchase, eg. all the
of the machines you will purchase will have been loaded from a Windows
image that is out-of-date by the time you receive it.

BTW: I think your 2 hour estimate is a bit optimistic. I would add
another few hours if you plan on installing an alternative browser,
updating Acrobat, Flash, Java; installing some version of (Open) Office;
and installing and configuring anti-virus, spyware, and a software
firewall. The previous list is off-the-top-of-my-head, I'm sure others
can add additional items to my list of things to do to prep a new
system.
