yes It is a media database ... movies... I stepped up in normalization since I had multiple copies of things. Now with instances as a separate table, I have to use a view to list them. My 600 dvd player is loaded as I acquired [randomly] them so the views fields are the same but sorted differently. I can call up loaded dvd's to play from a menu and I hope to be able to stream from a media hard drive also. View 1 .. movies listed by type-location [dvds, vhs] View 2 .. movies listed by title..associated with movNo
[table1 .. title/cast/info/pic-no] [table2 .. media-type/location] -----Original Message----- From: Jerry Foote [mailto:jer...@footegroup.com] Sent: Saturday, January 28, 2012 5:04 PM To: 'ProFox Email List' Subject: RE: gids and views Do the views have the same fields? -----Original Message----- From: profox-boun...@leafe.com [mailto:profox-boun...@leafe.com] On Behalf Of Gary Jeurink Sent: Saturday, January 28, 2012 4:58 PM To: profox@leafe.com Subject: gids and views I know how to switch the contents sort of a grid connected to a table with a set of buttons using SET ORDER TO but when I'm using a view and I want to change from one view to another on the same grid is there an easy way other than another form.
