I'm using FPDOS 2.5 and VFP 9 on a mix of WINXP and WIN 7 PRO systems...45 systems total. No problem with index corruption. The server is running CentOS (Samba) and it is easy to see who has which DBF files open with Webmin (although you can't see who is using which record.) I would suspect you have network hardware issues...either a bad NIC or cable problems....that is causing your index corruption, not a mix of VFP and FPWIN (assuming the data engine for FPW and FPDOS are the same.) From: Michael Madigan<[email protected]> To: [email protected] Date: 4/16/2012 4:06 PM We have been using a ReadyNAS for our main database server. It has worked flawlessly for several years now. Lately we've been getting corruption errors which I'm pretty sure is due to a mix of VFP on 64-bit Win 7 and FPW 2.5. We are almost ready to go completely VFP on all machines.
