Having problems myself, I followed with interest the recent thread about problems with wifi connections... overheating was suggested as a culprit but I'm not sure where it went from there or how things turned out...
Very frustrating to be 10 feet away in direct line of sight and not being able to stay connected... Anyways, read an article yesterday about some apps for the Android that help with figuring out proper placement of your wifi antenna. It was suggested to use Wifi Analyzer to see which signals you were picking up and how strong they were... but also mentioned to look at what channel these other devices might be using. Suggested pick a different channel for your wifi and see what happens. I tried that last night (assigning a lesser used channel) and BOOM - my connection picked right up. Too early to tell how well it will work in the long run, but worth a try for those having signals dropping. -- Matt Jarvis Eugene, Oregon USA _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/CAPT54rZ-j+5tDWnfOnC1w1B3N=tOWZm4M50nWDvAy=awtwf...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
