I don't use auto generate keys. I have a DBF file called setup with two fields, key_name and value that sets the primary keys for all files. The class that creates all my views may or may not call a function, newid(), that sets the value. All DBF files that have a primary key, call "newid()" from default value in the Field validation of the table.
