You really have the facts ass-backwards. Mitt never promised a chicken

everyone harmed by Sandy in New York and New Jersey whole. This will
cost you and me billions of dollars. If people are so stupid as to
build an expensive house on the sand dunes of the barrier islands,
they should not get off scot free. The Feds underwrite all flood
insurance when private firms do not.
You seem to ascribe to the Republican doctrine that every man is
responsible for his own destiny, and the blame for any failure is the
fault of the individual who fails. I believe government can play a role
in coming to the aid of those who fall upon hard times, and I believe
the American people can put politics aside to help those in trouble or
the less fortunate.
Insurance, whether it government insure or not, also follow the
principle that the people can protect one another from catastrophes
beyond their control through insurance. It seem to work pretty will to me.
The evangelical right, (eg the religious righter), of the Republican
Party feel that wealth is a sign that a man has been blessed by God and
is loved by God, but I can't find anything like that in the Bible. That
surely didn't hold true for the disciples of Jesus who surely were loved
by God.

A lot of the Obama Deficit was due to a couple of Bush era events:
1) The tax policies enacted during the Bush years to lower taxes,
especially on the wealthiest 2% of Americans, who really didn't
need the

anything, to stimulate the economy; because, the increased demand for
good and services in this group was much smaller proportionally,
dollar
for dollar, than the demand created in the remaining 98% of working,
middle class and poor Americans.
2) The housing bubble created during the Bush years, which concealed
the true state of the USA economy: When the housing bubble burst,
trillions of dollars in wealth were vaporized into thin air. This
required President Obama, and his administration, to take immediate,
drastic measures, in the form of stimulus, to prevent a collapse of
our
country, and to contain the contagion effect on the rest of the world.
Hi Leland,
I told you you needed drugs, and you just drank more Kool-aid.
Obama's promise was specific - he said he would cut the deficit, and
he hasn't. Not only that, the "stimulus" also went to people who
didn't really need it - who invested in China when they didn't just
put it in their foreign currency retirement funds, with a negative
effect on jobs.
Yeah, and Mitt Romney's promising a chicken in every pot. How do you
think that will work out for you. LOL Politics.
