I used to be someone who upgraded everything regardless - until Vista. I
LOVE windows 7 because it just damned well works! I looked at windows 8 and
found I couldnt use it. I guess I could have learned all its secrets if I
wanted to, but I didnt want to. I dont buy a computer to play with its OS. I
buy it to use applications and not APPS. Apps go on my phone. Applications
go on my computer and Windows 8 aint going anywhere near either. Despite
this worldwide fetish for apps on phones and tablets the VAST amount of real
productive and profitable work is done on PCs with 27inch screens, real
keyboards and a mouse. That aint gonna change anytime soon. So why do we
have a tablet operating system trying to masquerade as a PC OS?

The adoption is apparently in or around where Windows 7 was at the same
stage after its release.
