If the backcolor is not white I set the Style to 1 which is graphical and BackStyle to Opaque and if the color is not which it make a nice looking button.

Problem Solved.

Thanks for your help

I think Mike's graphical style would be your best bet. About the only
other way would be to create a shape object with the BackColor you want and
place it over the checkbox portion and control it's ZOrder in regards to
the checkbox. You'd then also need a second shape with the checked value.
This gets messy in a hurry, but could be rolled into a class. The
graphical option seems much easier, maybe with a separate label for the
text.

Many of my users have Windows 7 where VFP form colors are very close to
VFP control colors. I have it working where the users can select the
background color for textboxes, editboxes, comboboxes & checkboxes. There
does not appear to be a way to make the background of the little check box
change. It is only white. The backcolor refers to the label part of the
checkbox if it is opaque.

Does anyone know of a way to change that?
